What is experiential learning?
Experiential learning is learning by doing ("Experiential Learning"). Experiential learning takes many forms, including: simulations, project-based learning, community-based learning, undergraduate research, field work, study away and abroad, and internships. Such experiences provide students with opportunities for "complex, social, and unscripted forms of learning that today's [graduates] need to succeed" (Hutchings 13).
